“I Am a Hustler”: Mungai Eve Addresses Politician Rumors at Grand Opening of EKI Store

Renowned digital content creator Mungai Eve has officially transitioned into the world of tech entrepreneurship with the grand launch of her new Apple product outlet, EKI Store. Located in the heart of Nairobi’s CBD at Mido Business Center on Moi Avenue, the store marks a significant milestone for the influencer, who described herself as a “hustler at heart” during the star-studded opening event.

Speaking at the launch, Eve revealed that her inspiration for the business stemmed from her own journey as a content creator. Having started her career using a smartphone, she recognized the need for a reliable hub where creators can access high-quality Apple products, accessories, and MacBooks at affordable prices without “breaking the bank.” The venture was developed in partnership with a tech-savvy business associate and has been in the works since the beginning of the year.

The “Queen of Online Media” also used the platform to firmly shut down persistent rumors linking her success to relationships with influential politicians and married men. Eve characterized the allegations as “unfortunate” and “crazy,” noting that they often surface when young women achieve significant success. She clarified that she is a firm believer in long-term relationships and emphasized that she has never, and will never, be involved with a married man.

Addressing her recent hiatus from YouTube, Eve admitted to experiencing severe burnout after five years of consistent interviewing and content production. While she needed the break to focus on her growing portfolio of businesses—which includes Airbnbs, interior design, and fashion—she reassured fans that a return to media is on the horizon. “YouTube is my first love,” she stated, hinting at a comeback later this year.

As she approaches her 26th birthday this April, Eve encouraged other young people to believe in themselves and ignore the noise of critics. With EKI Store now open for business, she expressed her ambition to expand the brand across the country, proving that her evolution from a campus belt-seller to a tech CEO is only just beginning.
