Miss Kemunto Breaks Silence on “Virgin” Iyaani Split and Secret Illness

The Kenyan digital space is buzzing following an emotional and revealing interview where social media personality Miss Kemunto (Diana) finally addressed the swirling rumors regarding her high-profile breakup with musician Iyaani, popularly known as “Virgin Iyaani.” In a candid sit-down on Alex Mwakideu TV, Kemunto peeled back the curtain on a relationship that many fans thought was a match made in heaven, revealing a reality marked by isolation, unreciprocated effort, and a mysterious health crisis.

Addressing the most persistent rumor head-on, Kemunto clarified the nature of the “stomach issues” that saw her hospitalized late last year. While social media detectives were quick to speculate about a “mini-Iyaani” being on the way, Kemunto was definitive: “It was not pregnancy.” She described a harrowing week in November where she was “terribly sick” and forced to seek medical attention alone. The influencer hinted that the illness was “complex” and directly linked to the stress or circumstances of the relationship, stating that her disappointment stemmed from Iyaani’s failure to check up on her or offer support during her most vulnerable hour.

Beyond the health scare, Kemunto painted a picture of a “one-sided” romance that lacked the basic trappings of a modern relationship. Despite the public perception of the couple, she shocked viewers by revealing that in their five months together, they never once went out on a date. The relationship was strictly an “indoor” affair, with Kemunto often taking herself out and posting photos just to feel a sense of appreciation. She confessed to investing heavily—both emotionally and financially—even paying for her own tickets and drinks to support him at his concerts, only to receive “I love you” in return without the actions to back it up.

The “Virgin” tag associated with Iyaani also came under scrutiny. Kemunto noted that while he leaned into that public persona, it didn’t excuse the lack of romantic effort or “manly duties” like gifting or planning outings. She revealed that she even drafted a formal “separation agreement” to ensure they would end things maturely for the sake of their public following, a request she claims he eventually ignored by making cryptic posts about not “renewing a contract.”

Currently, Miss Kemunto says she is focusing on “choosing herself” and reclaiming her feminine side, which she felt was suppressed during the relationship. While she has officially moved on and is not searching for a new partner, she remains open to a “friends with benefits” arrangement with the singer—minus the emotional attachment. As for Iyaani, the ball is now in his court to tell his side of the story as fans wait to see if this “contract” is truly terminated for good.
