Babu Owino Explodes Over “Fake” Video Dragging Raila Into Drama

Embakasi East MP Babu Owino has come out guns blazing after a viral video appeared to show him trashing ODM leader Raila Odinga.

The outspoken MP now claims the clip is nothing but political sabotage — a hatchet job cooked up by rivals to stir bad blood between him and “Baba.”

According to Babu, the footage — which has been circulating online like wildfire — was lifted from a 2024 rally in Suna East. But here’s the catch: it was chopped and spliced to make it look like he was attacking Raila, when in fact, his fury was aimed squarely at President William Ruto.

“Baba, before you go to AU, please organise one more protest so we finish this man (Ruto),” Babu is heard saying in the full version, which paints a very different picture.

Babu, never one to bite his tongue, dismissed the clip as a desperate attempt to drive a wedge inside ODM. He insists his loyalty to Raila is unshakable — and anyone suggesting otherwise is clutching at straws.

In recent months, the fiery legislator has teamed up with Kenya Moja’s young guns, including Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna, keeping the heat on Ruto’s government while standing firmly under the ODM banner.

The doctored video may have sparked gossip, but Babu’s response is crystal clear: he’s not about to betray Baba — and anyone trying to spin it otherwise is playing dirty politics.
