Uhuru Kenyatta Breaks Silence, Slams Critics and Calls for Unity in Kenyan Politics

Former President Uhuru Kenyatta has finally dropped the gloves — and he’s not mincing his words. In a fiery address, Uhuru tore into his critics, accusing them of eroding the hard-won gains of his administration while dragging the country back into tribal and corrupt politics.

“I have both lost and won elections, taking each in my stride and learning that in politics, you can never be guided by bitterness, anger, or hate,” Uhuru thundered. “Wale wanataka kuendelea na matusi, hiyo ni shauri yao. Sisi hatuna chuki na mtu; tunapenda nchi yetu.”

The former Head of State, who has largely kept a low profile since leaving office, shocked many by calling out Kenya’s political elite for abandoning patriotism in favor of endless insults and petty schemes.

He rallied the youth to rise up and inject courage into politics, warning that unless national parties replace tribal outfits, the dream of a united Kenya would remain a mirage.

“The patriotism we saw in the streets needs to be seen in the corridors of power. Let’s have national parties, not tribal parties. Politics must be about justice and NO corruption,” he declared.

Uhuru also sent a thinly veiled warning to schemers and power brokers: the days of political manipulation must end. “It is my hope that from today, we shall see the end of machinations and the start of a democratic process, because it is the people who will decide,” he said to rapturous applause.

In a bold final statement, the former president reminded Kenyans that anyone has a right to lead the nation: “Everyone has a right to lead Kenya irrespective of their background.”

With that, Uhuru Kenyatta seems to have lit the political stage ablaze once again — leaving both allies and rivals wondering whether this marks the beginning of a fresh showdown in Kenya’s heated political theatre.
