Ruto: A Political Genius, A Presidential Disaster

Let’s call it as it is: William Ruto is a terrible President. He is running this country into the ground, drowning us in debt, taxes, and empty promises. But don’t be fooled — while he may be a mediocre leader, he is a political genius. The man plays politics like a grandmaster, and he knows the weaknesses of the Kenyan political class better than anyone else.

Here’s his trick: most Kenyan politicians are greedy and self-serving. Give them a little power, a government appointment, or a fat brown envelope, and they will sell out their people in broad daylight. And Ruto knows exactly how to bait them. That’s why in any contest between Ruto and a politician, Ruto wins hands down. He appeals to their ambition and their hunger for money, and they crumble like dry bread.

But here’s the one fight Ruto cannot win: a united Kenyan people.

We saw it during the finance bill protests. When Kenyans stood together — rich and poor, young and old — the government trembled. That unity scared the political class more than anything else, because it proved that citizens, when united, are far more powerful than any State machinery.

And that is exactly why, between now and 2027, Ruto’s biggest mission will not just be running government. It will be dividing Kenyans. Billions will be poured into chaos, fake alliances, puppet opposition parties, and endless distractions — all designed to make sure Kenyans never again speak in one voice.

So here’s the truth: if Kenyans who truly love this country don’t stick together, they will pay the price. If unity breaks, Ruto will win — not because he is a good President, but because he is a ruthless political operator who knows how to exploit disunity.

Kenyans must remain united. Or else, come 2027, they’ll wake up to a future far worse than the present — and they’ll only have themselves to blame.
