Big Jobs Alert: Auditor-General’s Office Announces 195 Vacancies – Here’s Who They’re Looking For

Kenyans hunting for jobs now have a golden chance! The Office of the Auditor-General (OAG) has rolled out a massive recruitment drive, announcing 195 vacancies across different departments.

The OAG, a powerful independent office mandated by the Constitution to audit government spending and expose misuse of public funds, is opening its doors to new talent as it strengthens its oversight role.

According to the vacancy notice released on September 30, the positions range from high-ranking posts to entry-level opportunities.

Top slots include:

• Deputy Auditor General – OAG 2 (2 posts)
• Principal Legal Officer – OAG 5 (1 post)
• Principal Communications Officer – OAG 5 (1 post)
• Principal Internal Auditor – OAG 5 (2 posts)

Mid-level and support staff positions include:

• Senior Internal Auditor – OAG 6 (4 posts)
• Audit Associate II – OAG 8 (150 posts – the biggest intake)
• Finance Officer II – OAG 8 (6 posts)
• ICT Officer II (Security) – OAG 8 (3 posts)
• Communications Officer II – OAG 8 (1 post)
• Drivers – OAG 11 (15 posts)
• Office Assistants – OAG 11 (10 posts)

Applicants have until October 15, 2025, to submit their applications via email – and the OAG has made it clear: no hard copies will be accepted.

Interested candidates must send in a filled application form, CV, academic and professional certificates, and testimonials. Those who make the cut will later need clearance from the DCI, KRA, CRB, EACC, and HELB where applicable.

In its announcement, the OAG emphasized that it is an equal opportunity employer, encouraging women and persons with disabilities to apply. However, it also issued a stern warning: canvassing = automatic disqualification.
