Kindiki Dares 2027 Rivals: “Who Can Defeat the Ruto–Raila Alliance?”

Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has taken a bold swipe at emerging political challengers ahead of the 2027 General Election, declaring that those plotting to oppose the current broad-based government are chasing illusions.

Speaking during a boda boda empowerment event at the Siaya KMTC grounds on Monday, Kindiki said the partnership between President William Ruto and Raila Odinga represents unmatched political strength and development focus.

“We respect Raila Odinga and William Ruto; they are working together and they are leading us. The future of Kenya is broad-based,” Kindiki asserted, praising the unlikely political alliance that has reshaped Kenya’s power landscape.

He ridiculed new political entrants whom he accused of staging theatrics rather than offering credible alternatives.

“I see new political aspirants trying to show us how they will defeat Ruto and Raila. Is it even possible to defeat such a combination?” he asked as the crowd cheered.

Development Message in Opposition Turf

In what political observers view as a strategic message delivered deep in Azimio territory, Kindiki praised the government’s development track record in the Lake Victoria region. He said the Ruto administration had secured KSh 3.2 billion in grants to support beach management units and expand the blue economy, a key livelihood for local fishermen.

“The level of development in Siaya has never been witnessed since independence,” he said. “This is the first government to invest seriously in the blue economy to transform fish farming—with the support of Raila Odinga.”

2027 Political Battlelines Forming

Kindiki dismissed claims that Kenya Kwanza had failed on its development agenda, insisting that the Ruto government is delivering results nationwide and that opposition voices lack credibility going into 2027.

With the Deputy President now openly defending the Ruto–Raila political pact, the message is clear: State House is preparing for a united front in 2027—and the door is closing fast on rivals.
